il Moralizzatore
Il Moralizzatore is the result of the courage and passion of two best friends, an equine veterinarian and a pharmacist - Enrico Frisone and Andrea dalla Grana. With a close personal and professional connection to the land and a long history of tasting the great wines of both the Veneto and Italy, they decided in 2011 to start producing chemical-free wines not far outside of the city of Padua in the Veneto.
They work with a mixture of both autochthonous grape varieties (Vespaiola and Groppello) and “international” varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Tai Bianco, Merlot and Pinot Nero) and use no chemical pesticides or herbicides anywhere in their 3 hectares of vines (spread over two vineyards). They prefer to work solidly with biodynamic principles, to exploit what nature offers, like permanent grass cover and green manure, to help improve the ecosystem of the vineyard and the fertility of the soil. Both vineyards are located in the foothills of the Alto Vicentino area. The exposure and slope of the vineyards have proven ideal for the production of quality grapes: the soil is a mixed composition, specific to each slope, though with a general presence of volcanic-basaltic rock (togo).
These wines are all exciting additions to our portfolio - full of finesse, character and life, much like the winemakers. and a strong expression of the land they come from. More info to be found HERE.
